Project Financing for Onshore Wind Power
Apex Clean Energy sought financing support for the construction of the Grant Wind project in Grant County, Oklahoma. With a capacity of 151 megawatts, the wind power project is expected to create enough clean energy to power approximately 50,000 average U.S. homes. Installation of the turbines began in fall 2015, with the start of operations expected in the spring of 2016.
Siemens Financial Services is supporting the project's construction financing with a commitment of $50 million. The project will feature 66 Siemens SWT-2.3-108 wind turbines.
